We present a simplified interpretation of a cocktail from our latest drinks list. Designed as a large-volume pre-mixed which is loaded with the essence of the Christmas time, making it ideal for a holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup you can use for morning drinks, puddings, or to make additional servings of this cocktail.

Yields 10 servings
To make the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Drink (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
For the Cordial: Put the listed ingredients in a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, take off the burner and leave to reach room temperature entirely. Pour into a clean bottle, cap it and store in the fridge, it can be stored for about a month.
To make Cocktail Base: Mix the specified liquid ingredients in a big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using muslin, making it completely strained.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of your premix into a mixing glass filled with ice, and agitate gently for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Pour into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, top with the cranberries and finish by giving it a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the top.
